Muzart are a very young and talented South African band playing soul and jazz funk, who have loads of energy and positive vibes going down on their debut album. ‘Sound Waves’ is a strong jazzy uptempo number with a flute backing. ‘Jukebox’, ‘Long Long Time’ , ‘Party After’,and ‘Let There Be Harmony’ have an early 80’s brit funk/soul groove influence ala Second Image. The percussive uplifting ‘Morning Glory’ has a scat vocal.

So refreshing to hear good soul music again, reminiscent of Shalamar, and Tony , Tone, Tone E.
” The Party After” rocketed in as our record of the week when we received the DJ mail-out E.P and remains unchallenged and to be honest I cannot get it outta my head and I’m not sure I want to !

The best so far from any other group in south africa. I like their jazzy vibes, almost like the old school jazz funk I used to listen to in the 80’s
