The Nighttime Lovers series hits the quarter-century mark and the grooves are as solid as the first volume. George Duke’s ‘Shine On’ is a classic clubber, Rockie Robbins’ breezy modern soul ‘Time To Think’ is a highlight, as are the big production mid tempo ‘Ain’t You Had Enough Love’ from Phyllis Hyman, The Controllers’ bubbling dancer ‘Keep In Touch’ and Jeffrey Osbourne’s soulful ‘I Really Don’t Need No Light’. Another great selection for fans of 80s grooves.
