This fabulous album dates from 1997 and is one of the Schema all-time sets. The gorgeous Bossa Nova sound is combined with an ‘organic’ jazz sound. ‘Esquema da Bossa is a wonderful track led by fluid acoustic piano, whilst ‘Diplomacia’ is fiery. Rosalia da Souza adds an authentic Brazilian voice to 4 songs including the gorgeous ‘Luce Del Sud’ – hints of Airto/ Flora Purim. ‘Ceu Azul’ is beautiful 60’s style Brazilian Jazz. ‘Eumir’ has a jazz Funk feel with flowing b line. Covers of ‘The Jody grind’, ‘Brasileiro’ and ‘Freio Aerodinamico’ revitalise these classics. Brilliant and essential.
