Manchester based trumpeter releases an album comprising seven Spiritual Jazz tracks that have been drawn from the Gondwana label archives. ‘Oneness’ is quite possibly the most laid-back album of Spiritual Jazz sets. The harp backing on several tracks combined with Halsall’s soulful and at times doleful playing provide a gentle and lovely landscape for meditation and relaxation. From the opener ‘Life’ to the finale ‘The Traveller’, ‘Oneness’ is a beautiful set.
