British keyboardist Carl Hudson follows up his great debut ‘Zoology for Martians’ with an amazing Vinyl only album. ‘Pixel Planet’ is an up tempo modern boogie track co-produced by and featuring the vocals of the wonderful Princess Freesia. ‘Travelling the Oort Cloud’ is a superb hard hitting instrumental highlighting Carl’s keyboard wizardry. ‘So Real Surreal’ has a cosmic P-Funk style groove ft Nick Van Gelder on Drums. ‘Deploy the Subaquatic Probe’ and ‘Pale Blue Dot (Pt2) are also spacey funk instrumentals, the later includes a lovely Hancock-esq keyboard solo. Interesting album.
