Classic Southern soul for 2010 from the Malaco label . Queen Emily has a great soulful voice with as hint of Gladys knight in places. There are great cover versions of ‘Use Me’, and ‘I Betcha Didn’t Know That’ . ‘Keep Getting Up’ is the standout a mid tempo dancer using ‘The Ghetto’ rhythm track. ‘Throw Me Away’ ‘Hold On To Your Promise’ and ‘Angel In Your Arms’ are good ballads. Real soul music with real instruments . highly recommended.
