The Emotions hit the top spot with the 1977 album ‘Rejoice’. It includes the smash hit ‘Best Of My Love’ and the wonderful Skip Scarborough penned ballad ‘Don’t Ask My Neighbours’. ‘Rejoice’ is however a fine album, check the lovely ‘Key To My Heart’, ‘How’d I Know That Love Would Slip ‘, and the sublime ‘Blessed’. Co-produced by Maurice White, the album has that Earth Wind & Fire feel.
