Insanely rare and utterly brilliant album from 1975, ‘Rushing To Meet You’ is an all too brief 8 track album that has been in demand forever that originally came out on the fabled Tiger Lily imprint. The bluesy funker title track builds and builds with soaring strings and a pacey, thumping tempo, the bittersweet ‘Steal Your Love Away’ is a gem of a beat ballad while Clydie does here best Patti Jo impersonation on the punchy ‘Punish Me’. The slow, deep pounding of the drums on ‘Morning Sun’ gives it a trippy feel while the bolshy funker ‘Woman’ stands up to the best of what was being crafted in the south in the mid 70s ala Ann Peebles and co. Probably the only realistic chance to own this!
