The saxophonist is joined by pianist Jason Moran and guitarist Pat Metheny for his debut CD for Blue Note. Tunes like ‘Mind Free’ and ‘Imagine’ emphasize the inventiveness of the album. If you like Robert Glasper’s Jazz albums or Medeski Martin and Wood, ‘Shift’ could appeal.
