Recorded live in Seattle on 14th and 21st April 1966, this previously unreleased set is a brilliant CD. 10 tracks, 6 with legendary guitarist Wes Montgomery, is a delight. Collaborations such as Rollins’ ‘Oleo’ and Wes’ own ‘Jingles’ and ‘Blues In F’ flow and the guitarist is a joy to listen to. Of the trio tunes check the swinging ‘There Is No Greater Love’ and ‘Sir John’ stand out. Drummer extraordinaire Jimmy Cobb plays alongside the pianist and guitarist as well as bassist Ron McClure. Quality throughout.
