This interesting Soulful house album from Russian artist Lay-Far is one of the best of its genre this year. Pete Simpson’s incredibly soulful vocals shine on ‘Stand Up’ which has a timeless quality. The more up-tempo dance floor track ‘A Little Faith’ is written and produced by Peter Oakden. The more percussive groovers ‘Can’t Deny’and ‘Summer Vacation’ ft Yannah Valdevit sweet vocals and Piano are also highlights. Vicky Flint adds some trumpet to ‘When I’m seeing you’ another dancefloor winner. Sarah Winton sings on the more laid back groove ‘So Many Years’. Strong and varied album.
