Wedged between his two ‘Sex And Soul’ offerings Roy Hammond ventured to Kingston with Horace Ott to deliver this often overlooked 1975 album. His cover of ‘My Girl’ (like the first four tracks here) has an unmistakable Island vibe, while the Southern soul more associated with Roy C comes out in the second half of the album in the form of ‘Don’t Stop Short Of Satisfaction’, ‘Loneliness Has Got A Hold On Me’ and ‘Virgin Girl’. The great bonus track ‘Every Woman Has A Right’ never featured on an album and was a 7” single only – a good addition here.
