By 1983 T-Connection were a four piece yet they still managed a tight, full sound on ‘Game Of Life’ which steers clear of the more programmed style of the time. ‘The Game Of Life’ kicks things off in busy, dance soul fashion. There are hints of label mates Sun on some of the tunes, namely the good modern soul of ‘Is It Real’ and ‘Love Odyssey’. Early 80s influences show through on the synth-boogie ‘Time Is Short’ and ‘Tonight’s The Night’. Fans of Yachtsoul will like the smooth ‘Closer To Home’. Decent under-exposed T-Connection album.
