This double CD contains three of Con Funk Shun’s albums ‘Touch’, ‘7’ and ‘To The Max’ from 1980, 1981 and 1982. Highlights on ‘Touch include the top ten single ‘Too Tight’. Check also ‘Lady’s Wild’ and the gentle ballads ‘Can’t Say Goodbye’ ‘Give Your Love To Me’. ‘7’ is one of Con Funk Shun’s finest albums with its early eighties dancers such as ‘Bad Lady’, ‘I’ll Get You Back’, ’Body Lovers’ And ‘A Song For You’. ‘Promise You Love’ is a wonderful slowie and the riff laden ‘If You’re In Need Of Love’ hits the spot. ‘To The Max’ is more of an eighties set as the opener ‘Ms Got The Body’ testifies. Similarly sounding with its synth bass is ‘Lets Ride And Slide’, ‘Ain’t Nobody Baby’ and the horn led ‘Hide And Freak’. The ballads are strong try ‘Everlove’ and ‘Love’s Train’
