Recorded in 1959, this unreleased studio session sees Tubby Hayes at his Hard Bop best. This is a hint of contemporary Blue Note on this quartet date with songs like ‘The Trolley Song’, ‘Visa’, ‘Hook’s Way’ and the cover of ‘Tin Tin Deo’. There is more than a touch of Horace Silver or Hank Mobley.
