Ghanaian Ebo Taylor was a respected and accomplished musician, writer and producer in the West African country and this 1978 release, while only 3 tracks in length shows how he melded Highlife with jazz, funk and calypso rhythms among many other styles to produce an upbeat, joyous groove. The 17:31 minute ‘Twer Nyame’ has many influences including Cuban and latin as well as jazz and highlife, ‘Peace On Earth’ is a superb fusion of Afro-Funk, jazz and Ghana-groove while the superb afro-latin ‘Atwer Abroba’ is a swirling melting pot of colours aimed directly at the feet (and hips!)
