Jim Mullen is one of the UK’s finest Jazz Soul guitarists. This Jazz set sees Mullen in a very jazzy setting. Tunes like ‘Medication’ and ‘When I Fall In Love’ have a relaxed vibe perfectly suited to his easy flowing sound. Mullen is equally at home on the bluesy ‘Spare Change’. ‘Speed Of Sound’ adds a fast jazzier and slightly avant-garde feel, whereas ‘Rule Of Thumb’ gives the guitarist to demonstrate his technical prowess. The nonet performs superbly throughout the nine tracks.
