Scorching double dose of Funk from the Dayton Ohio band Sun, with their debut 1976 ‘Wanna Make love’ and 1977 ‘Sunpower’ albums. ‘Wanna Make Love (flic my Bic) was one of The Funk club tracks of its time and this with the more urgent ‘Live On Dream On’ were the highlights of the first album.The Modern Soul dancer ‘Just a Minute Of Your Time’ has made ‘Sunpower’ in demand in recent years. ‘Boogie Bopper’ and the instrumental ‘ We’re So Hot’ are the funkiest tracks whilst the haunting more melodic ‘Time Is Passing’ gives the band the space to stretch out.
