This is the first official release of Wes Montgomery’s one and only live performance in Paris; it hails from 27th March 1965 and recorded at the Theatre des Champ-Elysees. Considered to be amongst the best if not the best of Montgomery’s live performances, this album is a treasure for all Jazz fans. He is joined by Harold Mabern on piano and guest saxophonist Johnny Griffin (on 4 tracks) including a fine take on ‘Round Midnight’.
