Bo Kirkland (better known to soul fans as Michael James Kirland) and Ruth Davis teamed up between 1975-78 to cut the album Bo and Ruth and some 45 sides for the Claridge label featured here. ‘You’re Gonna Get next to me’ was a massive club (and Uk Pop) hit in ’77 and has remained a popular ‘Rare’ groove ever since. ‘Easy Loving’ and ‘Loving Arms’ are evergreen country soul cuts. ‘Stay by my side’ and ‘Lost in a love zone’ are good lesser known groove oriented club tracks.
