New Releases, Reissues and Restocks | Friday 25th October

There are some great new releases and reissues this week. Angela Johnson teams up with Opolopo for the ‘Best of Both Worlds’ on Reel People music. Marvin Gaye’s Mizell brothers-produced ‘Where Are We Going’ and ‘Woman Of The World’ make their 7″ debut on Expansion available as a regular dinked or full centre DJ Copy 45.

Don Blackman’s classic early 80’s rare groove and boogie album is reissued on coloured vinyl as are Benny Golson’s ‘I’m Always Dancing To The Music’ and Ray Barretto’s ‘La Cuna’. James Brown’s Funky People Volume 1 and 2 are reissued as double LPs, and we are back in stock of The JB’s ‘Damn Right I Am Somebody’ (likely to be the last copies of this pressing) and many other good LPs.
Blue Magic have a nice complete Atco and WMOT recordings CD box set.
The next batch of albums, 12″s and 7″ singles from the South West Connection will be arriving back with Laurence on Monday, watch out for listings later in the week.

We also published a fantastic selection of Jazz-Funk and Soul LPs earlier this week which is part of a larger collection from earlier in the year titled Collection Of The North so make sure you check that out if you missed it!

Elsewhere, we have fantastic selection of original vinyl across the site. Click HERE to see a recent collection of jazz and jazz-funk LPs. A couple of weeks ago we put up a good batch 70s and 80s soul 45s which you can view here. This adds to the list of 60s soul 45s which you can see here if you missed, and we also added to our series of 12″ singles with part 15. We featured the first batch of 25 Original Vinyl Soul LPs from a large new collection that we will be purchasing over the next year, there are some great hard to find albums;  quite a few sold out immediately and we have added a few where there were second copies to the list.
As always we have a brilliant selection of original LPs and 12s that have been added to the site in recent weeks. This week we added some brilliant original soul LPs in addition to the batches of Philly Soul and Classic Soul we put up recently, plus two new batches of 12″ singles for funk, disco and house fans check them out here and here. This is part of a larger group of 12″ singles from a recent collection into one group which you can view here.
