There are some great new releases, reissues and restocks this week. Victoria Port is an up and coming Uk Soul singer and she releases a good 5 track EP showcasing her talent. Miles Away present the first compilation of the New York disco and Soul label Cheri Records ‘Let Me Down Easy’ highlighting the great tracks issued on the short lived label including Rare Pleasure, Hyla Parker, Julius Brockington, and Brookyln People amongst others.
James Brown all time classic ‘The Payback’ gets a welcome repress on vinyl from Polydor/UMe along with ‘In The Jungle Groove’. Carlos Garnett amazing in demand ‘Cosmos Nucleus’ gets a high quality vinyl reissue . The Headhunters classic ‘Survival of The Fittest and Lou Rawls 4 classics album on cd and first time on 45 for AWB ‘Stop The Rain’ complete the new releases for the week. There are plenty of good restocks from The Meters, Shuggie Otis, Donald Byrd, Herbie Hancock, Tower Of Power, Curtis Mayfield, Miles Davis, St Germain Mario Biondi, and many more…
