There are some great new releases this week (the best for many weeks) and an amazing quantity of high quality Blue Note Japanese Cds. Don Glori has made two previous excellent albums but really steps up a gear for 'Paper Can't Wrap Fire' his most sophisticated to date, a great album. New Releases, Reissues and Restocks | Friday 2nd May

There are some good reissues and restocks this week. We have a small batch of Japanese LP reissues of rare soul and jazz albums in limited quantities.  These include super rarities like A Taste of Ricardo Marrero and Tomorrow's People 'Open Soul', and Copeland Davis group check the superb modern soul cut 'Morning Spring'. New Releases, Reissues and Restocks | Friday 25th April

This week is a good week for new releases, we have in Chicago Gangsters' album Gangster Love, their second album originally released in 1976 this is the first time it is available on vinyl. CD copies also available. There is also Charlies Rouse's brilliant album 'Two Is One' a funky jazz album from Strata East. Pharoah Sanders' Izipho Zam is now out on CD, we also have a nice Marlena Shaw EP and a live album at The Five Spot from Kenny Burrell and Art Blakey. There are some good new releases, reissues and restocks  this week.  The Diplomats of Soul have released many good singles now collected together for the first time on an LP on Expansion.  Lynda Dawn's great album 11th Hour is now available again in small quantities, it sold out in a day last time, so grab your copy now if you missed it. There are some great reissues this week, not many but high quality. Blue Note classics series includes two great titles from Horace Silver and Lou Donaldson. The Diplomats Of Soul great double A sider 'I Love you/'Teacherman' is now finally in stock with correct pressings, watch out for their debut LP on record store day. Quincy Jones is celebrated with 5 of his classic 70's albums available on high resolution SHM CD from Japan at reasonable prices. Art Pepper has an unreleased 2CD set recorded in Geneva 1980. Firstly we are very sad to learn of the passing of many great Soul and Jazz artists in the past couple of weeks. Gwen McCrae made many great albums and singles and possessed an incredibly powerful voice and will be remembered for crucial tracks like '90% Of me Is You' and 'Keep The Fire Burning' .
