On record store day eve there are a lot of good new releases, reissues and restocks.
Alex Harris has his debut album on the Shanachie label, Blue Lab Beats, a new album on Blue Note. Luther Vandross debut album ‘Luther’ is finally reissued on both CD and LP, and there are some classic Blue Note analogue reissues from Bobby Hutcherson, Herbie Hancock , Horace Silver and Anthony Williams. There are some good Jazz reissues from Cedar Walton, Peter Herbolzhiemer and Woody Shaw. There are some great vinyl restocks from Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, MFSB LPs plus some great Japanese CD reissues in limited quantities.There is a new mod Jazz 45 from The In Sound, a whole batch of Soul reissue 45s on Charly and many great 45s and 12″ restocks.
Our preparations for record store day are well in hand, all products have arrived and are priced and racked. We have created a checklist for you to download HERE showing all 250 titles that we have for the day, and all titles with images many with sound in the features. We look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow as we celebrate the day and our 30 years of the shop. Available titles will be offered online from 8pm Monday 22nd April.
