Keni Burke released his in demand ‘Changes’ album in 1982. It contains his all time classic ‘Risin To The Top’ an 80s Soul and Modern Soul anthem, which has retained its freshness and appeal throughout the past 40 years. ‘Hang Tight’ is boogie dancer with a little more tempo which illustrates Keni’s bass playing. The horn backed ‘Can’t Get Enough (Do It All Night)’ another uptempo song which has an EWF feel in places, and ‘Shakin’ has a more electronic funk approach. ‘One Minute More’ is a nice mid tempo floater that provides a good contrast to the more uptempo tracks. Strong album.
