Next Sunday the 10th of April we’ll be welcoming the legendary London Jazz DJ Paul Murphy down to our regular slot at the Half Moon in Putney from 13:00-19:00 for a strictly vinyl DJ set, accompanied with live percussion from Will. Should be great to have Paul down, a legend of the London DJ scene and a fine selector who ran the storied Jazz Room at the Electric Ballroom back in the 1980’s as well as residencies at the WAG club, The Horshoe (where he brought acts such as Alphonse Mouzon, Tania Maria and Jay Hoggard to the UK for the first time). His imprint JazzRoom records has been reissuing some great stuff and we’re looking forward to hearing some of the intended future reissues in their original form on the day.
