New Releases and Pre-Orders, Saturday 7th May

It’s Soul with Bluesy edge for the new releases this week. Sugaray Rayford recent album is now out on vinyl and two of Robert Crasy’s more soulful outings are reissued on Blue vinyl.Ann Peebles has a new live CD (you can pre-order for the reissue of her first album on LP if you missed the ultra limited RSD version last week). Tata Vega and Al Johnson versions of the classic ‘I’ve Got My Second Wind’ are back to back on a nice 12″, and Thee Sacred Souls have another 45 on Penrose. BBR have repressed a few of their classic soul cds, and we are back in stock of The Dinner Party LP and Cymande’s classic Promised Heights.

View the Pre-Order Section here – some high quality titles inbound from the likes of Mongo Santamaria, Brother Jack McDuff, Ronnie Foster and more…

Join us at the Half Moon punb this weekend for another installment of the Soul Brother Soundsystem from 2-7 with Will Fox and Brook Plumptre manning the wheels of steel for another expansive and strictly vinyl Sunday afternoon session. Plenty of sevens abound this time and the usual smatterings of Soul, Disco, Funk and Jazz aplenty. To secure seats on the day, book a free ticket through the link HERE. To check out a recording of last weekends session with guest DJ Alena Arpels, click HERE to bring you through to mixcloud.

We still have many of the great Soul and Jazz 45’s 12″ and LPs from RSD which you can view by genre here.
