New Releases, Reissues and Restocks | Friday 26th September

Firstly please accept our apologies if you haven’t been able to get hold of us over the past 2 weeks, finally we have a  restored internet service so can access emails now but phones still diverted to a mobile phone. Hopefully fixed on Monday. This has inevitably affected our service at times, so sorry if this has affected you.

There are many great releases, reissues and restocks this week.
There are new albums from Lady Wray, Kendra Morris, Theo Croker and a vinyl version of Sheree Brown’s last album. There is a whole unreleased album from Ronnie McNeir from 1972 , reissues from Parliament, The Meters, Freddie Redd and Sonny Clark, plus a collection from Jackey Beavers. We are back in stock of the amazing Lou Courtney ‘I’m in Need Of Love’ LP – one of the greatest 70’s Soul albums of all time, which has been out of press for a long time, and a few great 45s on our label from Odyssey, Barbara Lynn and Vaneese And Carolyn.
We also have a couple of very limited edition hip hop 45s from Black Pegasus Records: Common “Charms Alarm (unreleased version)” and No I.D. “Throw Your Hands Up (unreleased instrumental)”. “The Purple Line” EP – a previously unreleased (and superior) version of The Purple One’s first single “Just as long as we’re together”, back with an unissued jazz instrumental.
Pre-order for next week: Ledisi “For Dinah” on LP and CD. Find the link to the Pre-Order section here.
