There are a few good new releases, reissues and restocks this week. Bob James returns with a new album on CD, LP and coloured LP. Steve Cole has a new smooth Jazz CD and Level 42 keyboardist and vocalist Mike Lindup an album that features Omar, Tony Momrelle and Ursula Rucker amongst others. The Daptone Victor Axelrod comp is also now available on CD. With Love 2 is a new compilation from Misch covering rare groove, Brazilian, Jazzy grooves and more.
The Spinners have a 7 CD box set covering all their Thom Bell produced albums. Pharoah Sanders 1977 album ‘Pharoah’ is issued as a limited edition 2Lp box set with a previously unreleased live set of ‘Freedom Time’ and 24 page booklet , pre-order for the CD set. We want sounds have reissued two more albums from the Mainstream label Harold Land ‘Damisi’ and Alice Clark seminal early 70’s Soul album. Betty Davis classic ‘They Say I’m Different’ album is available again remastered on CD, LP and coloured LP. We are back in stock of some great albums from Banda Black Rio, Arthur Verocai, Jackson Sisters and Keith Hudson. There are a couple of new 45 reissues from Seeds of Fulfillment (unreleased) and Mike Dogliotti on Jazz Room, plus a couple of classic 45s on Kent are back in stock.
The six new 45’s on the Soul Brother label sound amazing and have been very well received. There is some great rare soul music on these, available as regular dinked or full centre DJ Copies, check them out here.
Next Saturday October 14th is National Album Day and we will have some of the limited edition releases, more details next week and will do a list of classic albums for the day.
