Congratulations To Gil Scott Heron on being posthumously inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Gil is a one of the most significant black music artists and deserves to be considered in the same esteem as Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley and Bill Withers. However there was some really good Progressive Jazz recorded there especially between 1968-1979, the subject of this compilation.
