Multi instrumentalist Don Glori (Gordon Li) hails from Melbourne Australia but is now based in London. His second album 'Don't Forget To Have Fun' released on the Deep Matter label is a great follow up to his excellent debut 'Welcome' and recorded with some of Melbourne's finest Jazz musicians. ‘This Close To You’ was the second album that Luther released on the Cotillion label dating from 1977. As you would expect from the time the arrangement by Paul Riser and the production are lush with strings and many great musicians but the highlight is of course Luther’s voice which even this early in his career is highly distinctive. Zan is a brand new 80's style boogie album from Australian singer Zan Abeyratne and husband, and Mother Earth bassist, Neil Corcoran. This record could easily have been recorded in 1983, it has such an authentic feel. It consists of eight new tracks, mainly uptempo groovers. 'Follow My Heart' is a great soulful boogie dancer. 'Free (Boogie mix) ' is a bass heavy driving dancer. 'No Secret' is a bouncy floorfiller and 'Nightfall' is another highlight, but this album is good throughout.
