Roy Ayers Ubiquity recorded ‘He’s Coming’ in 1972 his second album for the Polydor label. Although it was relatively overlooked at the time, it has become Roy’s most in demand albums over the last 35 years . Reissue of extremely rare 1976 soul and funk LP from Los Angeles band Rhyhthm Machine, original copies now sell for over £1500. Roy Ayers recorded his superb 'Vibrations' album with his band Ubiquity in 1976. It is a strong album throughout but includes many classic mid tempo grooves. 'Searching' is especially strong, almost definitive of its style, a soulful jazz-funk floater with great instrumentation from Roy and the band. 'The Memory' is another classic mid tempo featuring Edwin Birdsong on string ensemble and dueting vocally with Roy. Really nice Brazilian style album recorded by Argentinian guitarist Agustin Pereyra Lucena in Buena Aries in 1975 ‘Ese Dia Va A Ilegar’ combines Jobim and Baden Powell compositions with his own in a similar style. Lovely laid back sunshine music , highlights are his version of ‘Amazonas’ the groovier ‘Guayabas’ and title track, ‘Hace Pocos Anos’ and the Brasilian standard ‘Garota De Ipenema’.
