Original 12″ Singles Part 1 – Rare Disco & Boogie

Check out this first batch of rare and great Original Boogie, Disco and Modern Soul 12" singles from the new collection that recently arrived. There are many really rare records here in exceptional condition, all except one are in Near Mint or Ex hardly played condition, with clean labels and original disco bags as individually graded and noted. The Sass record is VG+ with some scuffs and very light crackle, but still a nice copy. All records are one off's, so please order early to avoid disappointment. New Releases, Reissues and Restocks | Friday 22nd December

There are loads of great releases , reissues and restocks this week. Album Of The Day | Will Downing – Soul Rising

Will Downing releases another 7 track album of Sophisticated soul 'Soul Rising' dedicated to the memory his daughter Aron Siobhan Downing, who sadly passed away earlier this year. 'Closer To Me' is an upper mid tempo dancer, and 'House Of Love' is an excellent mid tempo ballad both co-writen by Will with Randy Bowland. Best New Soul 2023

2023 has seen a slightly higher quantity of New Soul and Funk albums and some real quality albums. Jalen Ndonga, Acantha Lang and Incognito are all great albums and worthy of being top of the list. Jalen has made a great retro Soul album with shades of Marvin and early 70's Motown, Acantha a beautiful Southern Soul album in the style of Shirley Brown/Betty Wright and Incognito their best in at least a decade and all of them are UK based. Best New Jazz 2023

There were some really good New Jazz albums in 2023. Yussef Dayes made a really interesting debut solo album , Australian band Menagerie an excellent album and UK band Ezra Collective a superb album that won a Mercury prize. Camilla George, Matthew Halsall, Tenderlonious and Scottish Band Mama Terra and Malcolm Strachan also had good UK based albums.Nicole Conte had his best in a while and fellow Italian artist Gerardo Frisina another good album. Billy Valentine and Carmen Lundy kept the US vocal Jazz flag flying with good albums,  the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble had a tribute to Don Cherry. Ed Motta had his...
