There are some good new releases, reissues and restocks this week. Kahil El Zabar’s Ethnic Heritage Ensemble celebrate their 50th anniversary with a new album ‘Open Me A Higher Consciousness Of Sound And Spirit’ available on LP this week, CD to follow hopefully next week. Matthew Halsall has a new EP/LP. Colin Curtis has compiled Jazz Dance Classics Volume 4 another fine selection, available as a double CD or two Double LPs. There are some great classic Jazz reissues by Alice Coltrane, two more in the Blue Note Tone Poet series from Jackie McLean and Booker Ervin, and some Craft releases from Stan Getz/Bill Evans, Cannonball Adderley, and Art Pepper. There is an unusual compilation on Decca of Northern Soul Scene focussing on tracks from the Decca and Deram labels. We are back in stock of many great albums including some we haven’t seen for quite a while.

As we enter March we are celebrating the 30th Anniversary of our shop which opened in March 1994! We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in the month to celebrate.
Saturday 20th April is record store day and the list of titles has just been published, which you can view here. We will aim to stock most of the Soul, Jazz, Reggae etc titles and some of the more general releases, but please send in your wish lists soon if you are after more specific titles, baring in mind that records will be sold on first come first served basis on the day in accordance with the rules.
