New releases
We have another special release, this week from Rasheed Ali – 1968 Soul Power a superb new album reflecting the music and events of 1968 in Black America. This CD will be exclusively available from Soul Brother Records in the UK for the next two months. Hiatus Kaiyote are an Australian band whose album ‘Choose your Weapon’ is coming from the same direction as Moonchild, left field Soul but with other influences. There are three excellent Smooth jazz cds’ arriving on Monday, from Brian Culbertson, Vincent Ingala and Blake Aaron.
Reissues
There are some great reissues and comps this week, ione of the best Modern Soul comps in recent time ‘Step Inside our soul’ is now available on Double 180gm vinyl, Letta Mbulu massively in demand ‘In the music’ (better known as it ‘s jap reissue title Sweet Juju) is out on a limited edition 180gm LP and one of the most in demand rare British Jazz albums Joe Harriott ‘Hum Dono’ gets a CD and 180gm Vinyl reissue. There are loads of good reiissues from Eugene Record, three from the Xanadu label,and many classic jazz albums on both formats .
Also dont miss the Creative Source and New Holidays green vinyl 45 on Mellow Mellow right on.
