Recommended releases 9th January 2015

Happy New Year – new arrivals!

I’d like to wish a Happy new year to everybody. Here are the releases for this first week of 2015. First up we have the Luxury Soul 2015 a great 3CD set featuring many new tracks on CD for the first time. Marc Staggers has a new album which is one of his best, his voice really reminds me of the great late Luther Vandross. Gregory Porter’s Liquid Spirit CD is now issued in another Deluxe version with extra tracks including duets with Laura Mvulu and Jamie Cullum and a 5 track DVD, we still have copies of the Double Vinyl LP. There are also a couple of 45’s on Expansion including a new track from Shirley Jones and a very few copies of a special edition of Al Hudson’s ‘I’m About Loving You’ from the Luxury Soul weekender. A big shout to everybody I met at the superb event.

Albums of The Month

In addition we are taking pre-orders for a few new releases due later in the month, Maryanne Ito ‘waking Up, Phil Perry ‘Better Man’, Marion meadows ‘Soul traveller’ and the final of the five Carlos Garnett albums ‘A New Love’ that we are releasing. – see below
