What a great week for releases and re-issues. Gaetano Partipilo has released one of the best new Italian Jazz albums for a couple of years to bring some warmth during this cold January, absolute quality album. Charlie Wilson has a good new set and the very limited (250) Valentine Brothers 45 is a monster sounding substantially better on vinyl than the CD cut, and with a great flipside as well, making it an essential purchase.There are some killer reissue CD’s this week Marvin Gaye Trouble Man Deluxe edition, Tyrone Davis in The Mood, Billy Paul Going East, the two Azteca albums and a stack of early 60’s jazz albums including some of the best jazz albums of all time.
