Gil Scott Heron and Brian Jackson recorded this seminal album ‘Winter In America’ for the Strata East label in 1974. It inlcudes their classic anthem ‘The Bottle’ a record that has been played an revered across almost evey dance scene ever since from Northern Soul, Funk, Rare Groove and more, and covered wellby numerous artists, but the original featured here is the definitive version.
The album also includes the excellent’Peace Go With You Brother’ a beautiful song with a strong message. A very special album that has stood the test of time.
