Saxophonist Paula Atherton’s Ear Candy is one of the first releases on Maurice White’s revived Kalimba imprint. Mellow grooves are the order of the day with ‘Remember Me’, ‘Getaway’ and ‘Between You And Me’ especially strong. Paula switches to flute on the Latin flavoured ‘Carnivale’, whilst the standout is the funky ‘Pocket Full Of Funk’.
