Landing between his production duties for Michael Jackson’s multi-platinum ‘Off The Wall’ and the phenomenon of ‘Thriller’, ‘The Dude’ was the album that would establish Quincy Jones as a contemporary artist in his own right. Featuring the singles ‘Just Once’, ‘One Hundred Ways’ and huge UK hit ‘Razzamatazz’, ‘The Dude’ would go on to become a Grammy Award-winning success story. It’s probably most famous today for Quincy’s take on ‘Ai No Corrida’, written by ex-Blockhead Chaz Jankel, which was also a chart smash and a big club hit. The award-winning album celebrates its 35th anniversary this year and is available again as a limited vinyl edition Record Store Day 2016 release.
