‘The Window’ is a vehicle for the wonderful Jazz voice of Cecile McLorin, accompanied as she is just keyboards, part studio and partly recorded at the Village Vanguard in New York.. It comprises several standards of which ‘Wild Is Love’, ‘Somewhere’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘Visions’. But the individual tracks are less pertinent than the beauty and power of Cecile’s voice.
