Lady Blackbird’s long awaited debut album ‘Black Acid Soul’ is finally here in limited quantities, grab this while you can.  Vincent Ingala keeps the Smooth Jazz flame alive and there is a good Sweet inspirations 3cd Atlantic recordings set. James Brown’s second best album (after The Payback) ‘There It Is’ gets a welcome CD release, and there is a good Belgium Jazz retrospective ‘Utopic Cities’. Two of The Isley Brothers early 70’s T neck albums get a limited edition coloured vinyl release ‘3+3’ and ‘Givin it Back’ .There are four albums on the superb Mad about records label his week, the excellent Reggie Andrews, Joe Gallardo & Sol and Disco E Cultura are back in stock, plus there is a new title from Gelson Oliveira, a masterstroke of private-press Brazilian Jazz-Fusion.
