The 1973 self-titled "Voices of East Harlem" was produced by Leroy Hutson, and includes the iconic Modern Soul dancer ‘Cashing in’ and the massive Rare groove classic ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’. ‘Little People’, the up tempo floater ‘New Vibrations’ and beautiful ballads ‘Giving Love’ and ‘Loving you the way I do’ are also key tracks. The Voices are amazing throughout, this is great classic orchestrated 70’s Soul at its best, really uplifting. Great underground soul album on the Soul Brother Label.

Vibes player Bobby Hutcherson recorded 22 albums for the Blue Note label between 1965 and 1977. His 13th, 'Montara' was released in 1975 and marked first full Latin Jazz album. One of his finest ever albums, containing seven great tracks and featuring a stellar cast of musicians, including Ernie Watts, Harvey Mason, Ralph McDonald, Blue Mitchell, Oscar Brashear, Larry Nash plus Latin stalwarts Eddie Cano, Bobby Matos, Willie Bobo and many others.
