There are some good reissues and restocks this week. The Modulations 'It's Rough Out Here' is a great Philly soul album from 1974 issued on a very limited coloured vinyl LP, also on Music on vinyl is Edwin Birdsong Philadelphia international album from 1979. We also have some low price reissues from Warner Argentina of Herbie Hancock 'Mwandishi' and Yussef Lateef 'Detroit', both great albums dont sleep, not too many at this price ! Lyn Collins classic James Brown produced album 'Think' gets a welcome LP reissue this week. There are also three rare 50s Chet Baker in Paris albums and an analogue OJC/Craft issue of the New Miles Davis Quintet album. We are back in stock of many nice Japanese reissues including Lovelites, Jackie Ross albums, The Topics, plus The Congos classic roots reggae album and a couple of Azymuth. This week we have a great bunch of new reissues. First on the list is Prelusion by Patrice Rushen, a stellar debut jazz album from 1974 that showcases her incredible talents as a jazz pianist. Next is Azar Lawrences album 'People Moving', a good Jazz Funk album from 1976 featuring Patrice, Mtume and Harvey Mason. For new releases this week we have the brilliant album from Cornell CC Carter 'Expressions Of Soul', this is his fifth studio and certainly one of his strongest albums. We also have a new album from Nat Birchall, this time with a very interesting reggae album, not dissimilar to great albums by Jackie Mittoo and Ernst Ranglin. This week for new releases we have a new album from Nathan Haines titled 'Notes.' Capturing the perfect balance of jazz and dance music, this release is the ideal summer album and features some fantastic collaborations with Vanessa Freedman and Marc de Clive-Lowe. This week we have a new album from renowned musician and composer Meshell Ndegeocello, an incredibly diverse and ambitious album and a clear continuation of her genre-defying sound. This week at the top of the list for new releases is Aaron Frazer's 'Into The Blue'. A brilliant new album and a must have for fans of that retro soul sound of Durand Jones, The Monophonics et al.
