Only a few new releases this week, but they are all quality. Boney James is back to form and features Raheem De Vaughn on his best album for years. Charles Bradley burst into the scene with his debut album a couple of years back and now makes a great more soul oriented follow up with Victim of Love. The Relatives and Menahan Street band also follow that retro 60's/early 70's oul/funk sound. Marc Evans and Groove Odyssey serve up some soulful house. This must be one of the biggest weeks for new releases reissues and comps for a long time, with nearly 50 titles arriving. Bluey makes his solo debut with a good album, Doggett brothers and Heidi Vogel also have strong albums and the vinyl issues of elements of life and jose james are now in.
