There are some great new releases and Reissues this week. Dinner Party are Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Kamasi Washington and 9th Wonder and they released their 2nd album ‘Enigmatic Society’ on Lp this week, pre-order Cd for next week. Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak Silk Sonic gets vinyl repress with an extra track. Nathan Davis classic MPS album ‘Hip Walk’ is remastered and reissued on LP and CD. Heart Soul & Inspiration is a super rare 1974 soul album that sees a limited edition LP reissue. Salsoul Orchestra have a double anthology 1, presumably 2 to follow.
Numero present Eccentric Northern Soul on Lp and smoked clear brown vinyl, which has some great tracks on it, and Billie Holiday ‘Lover Man’ gets a long overdue vinyl reissue.
We are back in stock of some great vinyl albums from Acantha Lang, Guru, Sam Dees, Shamek Farrah, George Duke, Freddie Hubbard, Norman Connors, Idris Muhammad, Terry Callier, Milt Jackson and Donald Byrd and a few japanese CDS from Sun, Charles Earland and Baby Huey all in limited quantities.
Pre-order for next week for one of biggest new soul albums of the year from Output/Input, a previously unreleased Gil Scott Heron live album from 1983 , Bettye Lavette on LP and finally the Crystal Clear 45 on our label which is currently cooling have been pressed. See all pre-orders HERE.
The five new 45s on the Soul Brother label have been well received and sound great. The Crystal Clear has been delayed due to a manufacturing issue and is expected next week.
