Drummer Trevor Lawrence Jr comes from a rich Musical heritage and his debut album ‘Relationships’ is a brilliant set of Jazz and Soul tracks,featuring a stella cast of musicians, yet another future classic on the Ropeadope label. Trevor also appears on the Terrace Martin presents the Pollyseeds album out last week which is another essential album.

Sabrina Malheiros brings us some Brazilian sunshine with her superb new album ‘Clareia’ out now on CD and LP, all we need now is the Sun to go with it.

The Voices of East Harlem single ‘Cashin In’ /’Take A Stand’, is now in what a great double A side single this. The Aristocrats ‘Let’s get It Together’ is another fine slab of rare 70’s Modern Soul.

There are good Double CD compilations on Enchantment and Peoples Choice

There are some great reissues of Rare jazz groove albums from Pharoah Sanders, The heath Brothers, Dansers inferno and the disco/funk of Obatala, these are likely to quite limited so get in fast. Also don;t blink on the 100% Pure Poison LP which is flying out fast.

There are some good 45’s this week including Maysa, Darien, and two bands that were the formative years of Kinsman Dazz. There are some classic Disco/Boogie 12″ reissues from Melba Moore, Herbie Hancock and Gladys Knight plus new soulful house from Susu Bobien and Joey Negro.
