New releases and pre-orders 15th January 2021

It’s a great week for new releases and reissues to help you get through lockdown. Doug Carn is the latest classic artist featured in the Jazz is Dead series and the album is now available on black or purple vinyl in limited quantities. Menagerie impressed with their debut ‘Arrow of time’ a couple of years ago and they return with another good Spiritual Jazz album ‘New Worlds’ .The Vision is a good soulful house album and is now available on CD. Emma Donovan & the Putbacks also return with a good raw Funky soul album.
Plenty of great reissues this week with Kool and the Gang classic debut album on vinyl, Cleveland Eaton has the next Black Jazz album on real gone music series. There are three high quality Jazz albums on the Sam label from Donald Byrd and Jef Gilson. Very limited quantities on the latest Blue note reissues plus the Art Blakey roots & herbs is back in stock. Maisha’s brilliant There is a place is back in stock as is the unreleased Four M company album. There are two good compilations Masterpiece 31 and Gospel Truth now on a limited 3LP set. our good friend Leroy Burgess has a previously unreleased track on Z records and the Garfield Flemming and Minnie Riperton 45’s are back in stock.
