Sunny and the Sunliners have been making Latino/Texas brown eyed Soul for many decades but on their new album ‘Brown Eyed soul Vol 2’ they may well crossover in the Soul scene with great tracks like ‘I’m No Stranger’ and the funkier ‘Come Back Baby’, available on CD. LP and limited coloured vinyl. Brian Jackson’s excellent album ‘This Is Brian Jackson’ is now available on LP as well as CD. Dave Lee has ‘Produced With Love II is a good modern disco album.
The Jazz Is Dead series has two Cd releases this week 11 and 13.
Kool and The Gang are one of our music’s longest standing groups having made music for over 50 years. Their best albums (in my opinion) were the first 8 are now featured in a CD box set with bonus singles and outtakes.Freddie Hubbard Breaking Point is the latest in the Blue Note Tone Poet series. The Pyramids made four albums in the 70’s and these are put together by Strut in a LP box set (CD on pre-order to follow). There are some good reggae and Hip Hop albums and we are back in stock of classics from Gil Scott Heron and S.O.U.L.
The new 45’s on Soul Brother and Expansion will now be here next Friday 22nd July. Please accept our apologies for the delay due to an issue in manufacturing. If you haven’t already pre-ordered please do so before then to be amongst the first to receive these brilliant titles. Tania Maria superb classic ‘Come With Me’, and Barbara Lynn super rare ‘Mellow Feeling’ , and all three from Expansion all available as regular dinked 45s or solid centre DJ Copies, the Barbara single has a limited edition of 100 numbered full centre copies.
