MF Robots return with an uplifting contemporary Soul and Funk album. Lance Ferguson gives us a second volume of his Rare Groove Spectrum and Lady Blackbird ‘Black Acid Soul’ finally gets a full release, we also still have some copies of the limited edition embossed cover LP back in stock.
The Temptations celebrate their 60th anniversary with a new album ’60’.
There are some great reissues this week. John Coltrane ‘Crescent’ is the latest in the Acoustic Sounds Analogue series, Jazz Room have two good albums from John Patton and Sir Edward (Harold Vick), Nico Gomez rare ‘Soul Of Samba’ album gets an issue on Mr Bongo and there is an early Dexter Gordon album on Bethlehem. On the Soul side Brief Encounter have a compilation of their singles on Athens Of The North, and Willie Hutch’s ‘Season For Love’ is back out on Be With, and Alice Clark classic album is out on a remastered audio CD.
